so, today i bought a new computer.

apparently, a computer only lasts so long before it starts to die. i didn't know this. i thought they lasted forever.
my wonderful love-of-my-life gateway is beginning to pass away.
after nearly 7 years of my multitasking and harsh treatment, it's finally giving out. which i have to say, going seven whole years without one single crash is pretty amazing.
only thing i've ever upgraded is the ram and i still have the same 60 gig hd - never had to format even once, and never bothered to for any other reason. 7 years of my life on this computer.
i think i'm going to cry.

i am so not looking forward to all the hours of installation and file/program transfer.

so, today i called into tigerdirect -yeah, i know- and bought a barebones kit to build myself a media/gaming system. why does everything cost so much when they Know you Have to have it in order to Live? computers are way more important than food and medical treatment, and yet they charge out the ass for them. not fair. -_-
